Galiano Island is located in the Strait of Georgia southwest of Vancouver, to get there you have to take the ferry from Tsawassen, it’s the same ferry that goes to Victoria on Vancouver Island .

If you arrive from Vancouver Island, you have to go to Victoria (swartz bay) to take the ferry.

This is the website link of the ferry company. www.bcferries.com

From Vancouver it takes about 2h15, it can cost between 20 and 80 Canadian dollars, depending on whether you have a vehicle or not.

Accommodation on the island of Galiano is quite expensive, but you can opt for camping at Montague Park, very pleasant and quiet in the middle of the forest and with a view of the sea if you arrive early enough.

You have to park in the parking lot and walk to the chosen location, it is very easy.

The only downside is that there are no showers, there are toilets but not with running water.

The price is very cheap considering that it is a provincial park at around $25 per night.

You must arrive between 7am and 10pm you must leave the next day no later than 11am.

At the extreme north of the island there is the Dionisio camping point but only accessible by sea, for example kayaking, there is no ferry you have to go there by your own means. Officially there is no road to get there.
