British Columbia is located on the west coast of Canada, it is the westernmost province of Canada, it is defined by its Pacific coast and its mountains in  North Pacific.

With a population of 5,142,404, British Columbia is the third most populous province in Canada which have 10 provinces and 3 territories.

The different provinces are:

Alberta, British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland and -Labrador,

The three federal territories: the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and the Yukon.

The capital of British Columbia is Victoria, located on vancouyver island west of Vancouver, but the most populous city is Vancouver with just over 600,000 inhabitants, and with the suburbs greater Vancouver (or Metro Vancouver) as it is called 2,581,000 inhabitants.

Vancouver now known for hosting the Olympics with Whistler which is a 2 hour drive from Vancouver.

Vancouver is surrounded by 3 main mountains about a 30 min drive from Vancouver.

 Cypress Bowl  (1440m), Grouse mountain (1231m) and Mount Seymour (1449m), where in winter you can ski and after skiing you can walk on the beaches of Vancouver, in summer you can do very beautiful hikes.
