1 day trip to Amalfi and Positano

It is first of all a seaside to discover, the most interesting option is to take the boat from Sorrento  to go to the villages of Positano and Amalfi and return by the bus from Amalfi, the return with the bus is really worth it for several reasons, first of all for the view especially at sunset time and also to appreciate the quality of the bus drivers, in some places the road is so narrow as the bus struggles to pass, the car coming in front has to back up to let the bus pass, the best part is between Amalfi and Positano. The option of returning by bus is for me the best because on the way back there is no rush and it doesn’t matter what time you arrive in Sorrento.

POSITANO

Positano is a small village of 4000 inhabitants but in season there can be up to 2000 visitors a day, Positano is halfway between Sorrento and Amalfi.

According to legend, the Greek god Poseidon created Positano in honor of the nymph Pasitea.

According to history, the village was founded by the ancient Greeks of Paestum who left their village to escape malaria. Positano is a city full of history and with very beautiful beaches, in particular the private beach of Spiaggia grande, 12€ but this includes the deckchair and the parasol, but towards the middle of this beach there is a free portion not away from where the boats dock,  a little further west you have the beach of fornillo the locals’ favorite and a little quieter for 8€.
