Mayne Island is just south of Galiano Island and is accessible from Vancouver from the Tswawwassen Terminal in South Vancouver. It takes about 1 hour by boat to get there, it is also accessible from Vancouver Island, (Victoria, the Swartz Bay terminal) and it takes about 50 min.
If you come from one of the other islands, pay attention to the timetables.
Small island, there are 3 restaurants, including the Springwater Lodge where the food is correct, classic North American cuisine, such as fish and chips, burger etc…
We quickly went around the island, to see there is the Japanese garden and in the center of the island there is a general food store, quite interesting, really local.
Apparently there is the possibility of camping, but to be honest there is not much to see, spending the day there is more than enough. there is also a way for hiking enthusiasts to make some trails. here is the list below.
